A renowned comedian, Sydney Talker, has voiced his concerns about the future of the content creation industry and is calling on new creators to take more responsibility in maintaining its relevance.

In a heartfelt message on Instagram, Talker addressed the challenges faced by up-and-coming creators and highlighted the need for renewed efforts in the industry. He praised established creators for their contributions but emphasized the crucial role new creators play in sustaining the industry.

“The content creation industry is dying!” Talker exclaimed. “We need the new ones or the aspiring ones to do more because this content creation industry is in your hands now! The old ones have tried. Most of us are now into making movies, music, or other businesses because we are trying to bag bigger things. Please don’t blame us. When you get here, you’ll understand. But for now, y’all new and aspiring creators NEED TO DO MORE!”

Talker stressed that the industry’s decline in relevance is partly due to new creators not receiving the recognition they deserve. He urged them to understand the importance of their role in the social media landscape.

“Y’all need to wake up, young lads. First off, y’all need to understand that this social media space belongs to us. We need to own it. We are losing our space (Instagram) to bloggers and activists. Come on guys! Y’all need to step up,” he said.

Talker also had a message for seasoned creators, encouraging them to continue creating content even as they explore new ventures. “To the old ones, I know y’all are exploring new things, your dreams, even things that you didn’t believe or know that you needed or wanted because there’s a lot of money now. But please can y’all also explore a little more in content creating. Listen, if you are in the presence of top creators or A-list artists, bro, create content! If you’re opening A-list artist shows, bro, create content! If you’re on your expensive luxurious trip, bro, create content. LISTEN, DON’T FORGET THAT YOU ARE A CONTENT CREATOR. We are losing relevance because the old ones ain’t taking hold of opportunities,” he urged.

Additionally, Talker shared advice for a new creator who reached out to him about lacking resources. He encouraged them to seek support through prayer and gratitude. “Turn to God for support. Pray and be grateful for what you have,” he advised.

Sydney Talker’s message serves as a wake-up call for both new and established creators to rejuvenate the content creation industry and ensure its continued significance in the digital world.
