The Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Arc. Sonny Echono has received the African Leadership Excellence Award in Educational Development from the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, His Excellency Philip Davis in London, United Kingdom and also emerged winner of the 2024 Anthology Visionary Award for Leadership in Transforming Education through Technology in Orlando, United States of America.
While accepting the award on Wednesday July 17, 2024 at the iconic Orlando World Center, USA before a global audience of over 2,000 participants, Arc. Echono outlined the Renewed Hope agenda of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration including the ambitious plan to ensure that all graduates of Nigerian tertiary institutions achieve digital literacy before graduation.
