The Federal Ministry of Education and the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, under the auspices of the National EdTech Strategy Task Force, have appointed the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, as a member of the Governing Board of the Nigerian Research and Education Network (NgREN)/Tertiary Education Research Applications and Services (TERAS) integration in her capacity as the Chairman, Committee of Vice-Chancellors of State Universities (CVCSU).
This appointment, conveyed through a formal communication to the Vice-Chancellor, highlights her exceptional leadership in higher education administration and her longstanding commitment to strengthening digital transformation across Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
The inauguration of the reconstituted Governing Board will hold today Friday, 28th November 2025 in Abuja, during the Mid-term Co-Creation Workshop, a strategic gathering convened to advance national efforts in educational technology, research infrastructure, and digital innovation.
The newly constituted Board will play a central role in driving Nigeria’s agenda for enhanced connectivity, research collaboration, and digital readiness across higher education.
