Famous American singer, Nicki Minaj, was detained at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport for allegedly possessing illegal drugs, according to a spokesperson for the Netherlands border police.

Robert Kapel, representing the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, confirmed the arrest of a 41-year-old American citizen after prohibited substances were found during a search. Although Kapel did not mention Nicki Minaj by name, the singer broadcasted the incident live on Instagram, capturing the moment when Amsterdam police attempted to arrest her.

In her live stream, Minaj claimed that the pre-rolled joints found in her possession did not belong to her. “These are not mine,” she asserted to her followers as police searched her belongings.
