The Society of Occupational and Environmental Health Physicians of Nigeria (SOEHPON), has called for empowering of every woman, particularly the girl child around the world to ensure equality, progress and inclusion.

SOEHPON made the call in a statement on Saturday March 8, 2025 by its National Public Relations Officer, Dr. Charles Onigbogi, while celebrating women on the occasion of the 2025 International Women’s Day.

According to SOEHPON, “Every year on the 8th of March, we celebrate International Women’s Day, a day dedicated to recognizing the remarkable achievements of women around the world and honoring the strength that empowered them to rise against challenges and break through barriers.

“Today, SOEHPON joins the entire world in wishing all our exemplary women a Happy International Women’s Day.”

Speaking on equality as the game changer, SOEHPON said, “We join the entire world to call for empowering every woman, and our girls for equality, progress, and inclusion.”

SOEHPON is a professional body of seasoned occupational health physicians with members within and outside Nigeria.
