The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has congratulated the former Dean, Faculty of Education of the University, Prof. Solomon Olanrewaju Makinde on his appointment as the fifth Vice-Chancellor of Crawford University, Lusada, Igbesa, Ogun State.

Prof. Makinde’s appointment will take effect from Monday, 6th October 2025, following the completion of the tenure of the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Reuben Jiya Kolo.

According to LASU VC, Prof. Makinde’s appointment as Vice-Chancellor is further testament to the quality of academics at LASU, the most digitally advanced state university in Nigeria.

“On behalf of the university community, I celebrate this landmark achievement and wishes Prof. Solomon Olanrewaju Makinde a successful and impactful tenure of office”, Prof. Olatunji-Bello said.
